In An Irishman's Diary on July 6th, Kevin Myers stated that after last month's collapse of the trial of three men in the Special Criminal Court, the court had specifically declined to declare them innocent. In fact counsel for the three had asked the court to record a not-guilty verdict; the court had found, however, that there was no precedent or authority for preventing the Director of Public Prosecutions from entering a nolle prosequi and the court made no further order.
In yesterday's World News pages, the caption to a photograph of a mourner at a ceremony to mark the sixth anniversary of the Srebrenica massacre said 8,000 Serbs had been reported missing. This should have read 8,000 Bosnian Muslims.
