Christ Church Cathedral, DublinThe crib will be put in the South transept of the cathedral on December 12th and remain there until the Feast of the Epiphany on January 6th. Thebaby Jesus will be added during the midnight service on Christmas Eve.
Pro-Cathedral, DublinThe traditional nativity crib will be put in place during Christmas week with the assistance of homeless people in the city centre. The baby Jesus is added by two midwives from the Rotunda hospital during the 10 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve.
Mansion House CribThis is the most enthralling crib for children because there are live animals who are brought into the city centre every day to stand and feed next to the nativity figures. Expect some young calves and goats alongside the traditional donkey. They will be in attendance from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily from December 15th until Christmas Eve.
The Moving Crib, Parnell Square, DublinThree-dimensional figures provide the visual references for bible stories from Adam and Eve to the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem. Situated in St Martin Apostolate's, 42 Parnell Square, Dublin 1. The moving crib will be open throughout the Christmas period, from today (closed December 24th to 26th, December 31st and January 1st) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 11.30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday/Sunday. Admission free.
GPO CribThe post office is one of the busiest places coming up to Christmas, so the presence of the traditional nativity crib in the main office of the GPO, O'Connell St, Dublin is a welcome release from frenetic stamp-sticking. String quartets and choirs will perform between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Monday to Friday until December 23rd.
