Following two pleasurable evenings of Oscar-winning music earlier this year, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will perform celebrated soundtracks by the great Bernard Herrmann in Music to Be Murdered By at Dublin's National Concert Hall on August 3rd.

The programme includes his scores for four Alfred Hitchcock thrillers - Psycho, Marnie, North By Northwest and Vertigo - as well as music from Hangover Square and his final score, for Taxi Driver.

The concert will also feature Miklos Rosza's stirring music for the chariot race in Ben-Hur, and scores by David Raskin (Laura), Alfred Newman (Airport), Constant Lambert (Anna Karenina) and Richard Rodney Bennett (Murder on the Orient Express). www.nch.ie
