Devo record again:

Art-rock quintet Devo have been on the tour circuit for the past few years, but will release their first studio album in 19 years this autumn. They’ll also play their acclaimed 1978 debut Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! in its entirety in London this May.

Soundtrack ’09 will make a return to Dublin’s POD this year, but not in festival format. The one-off gig takes place at the venue on May 31st, and will be headlined by electronica/ hip-hop DJ Diplo. The bill includes Fake Blood, Skream and Boy 8 Bit.

Interpol album due:

Interpol are working on their “vital” fourth album. Meanwhile, bassist Carlos Dengler’s film-making debut (he co-wrote, stars in and scored My Friends Told Me About You) opens in New York next month.

Return of Slim Shady:

Eminem’s comeback album, Relapse, hits the streets on May 19th. A follow-up is due later this year.
