A number of antiques fairs are scheduled for tomorrow, two of them in Dublin. The first of these opens in the Doyle Tara Towers Hotel at 10 a.m., and it promises the customary mixture of linen, curios, jewellery and china.
An hour later, the Newman House Fair begins, and items of interest include silver offered by Duvalier Antiques and several other dealers. A substantial selection of porcelain, such as a pair of Meissen candelabra, a 19th century hand painted Austrian tea service and a Meissen "Harvest" vase with its lid are also on offer.
At the same time in Killarney, the town's fifth antiques collectables fair starts at the Great Southern Hotel. For the first time a number of specialists will be available to give valuations between 11 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Items for sale will include furniture, porcelain and china, stamps, silver, linen and lace and pictures.
