Juárez is locally known as the femicide capital of the world and with good reason. The Mexican border city attracts thousands of migrant workers, many of them young women and mothers. Since 1993, more than 1,400 of them have been murdered or have disappeared without trace. Irish artist Brian Maguire has spent three years working quietly with the families they have left behind. Director Mark McLoughlin chronicles his journey in this shocking, moving, exploratory documentary.
