It was certainly a weird week to be Tom Cruise. As those of you who aren’t actually dead may be aware, the baby-faced scientologist learned last weekend that his wife, Katie Holmes, is seeking a divorce. On Tuesday, he celebrated his 50th birthday.

All very sobering. If, however, these events were getting him down, Tom could take some solace from the news that Forbes magazine has declared him the best-paid movie star in the world. They still love him in Asia, you know.
