Much of the gossip at last week’s Galway Film Fleadh focused on the suggestion that the Irish Film Board would shortly be looking for a new chief executive. Sure enough, the board has issued a statement confirming that, when current CEO Simon Perry reaches the end of his contract in January, a new head will take his place.
“Simon has brought new confidence and renewed energy to Irish film-makers, bringing new talent to the fore while successfully presiding over a period of rapid growth in the range and scale of activities of the IFB,” said board chairman James Morris.
