A combined antiques and book fair will be held in Newman House, Dublin, tomorrow, opening at 11 a.m. Book lovers are particularly well catered for on this occasion, as some 10 dealers specialising in this area and prints are expected to take stands.

Jim Magill, for example, will be offering a selection of rare children's books, including first editions of the William, Billy Bunter and Biggles series, as well as works by Jules Verne and early works by Eleanor Brent Dyer.

Other dealers will be bringing along Dublin topographical books and Irish journals, a selection of works on photography, Arthur Rackham prints and various linen-backed maps of Ireland and England.

Elsewhere in this fair, the antiques section will include a selection of Georgian and later silver, such as six tablespoons made in Dublin in 1798. A Victorian Royal Irish Constabulary dress sword by John Ireland & Co of Dublin is another interesting item in the fair.
