REVIEW:(16 Cert, Ubisoft, Wii) Red Steel 2is a good example of how to use the Nintendo Wii's motion-sensitive controls to draw players into a game. In fact, the gameplay is the best thing about the title, which sees you step into the role of a Kusagari, one of a clan of defenders of Nevada desert town Caldera.

After five years away, you return to find Caldera in trouble and the Kusagari nowhere to be found. Armed with a sword, you take on the gang that has overrun the town. This is where the fun starts.

The Wii’s controller allows you to wield a sword, use a gun or mix the two up to take down your enemies. Movement is simple, employing the nunchuk, and the use of the Wiimote as a sword, while not always accurately portraying movements, is great fun.

The Xbox 360 and the PS3 may have superior graphics to the Wii, but

has some pretty impressive visuals.

Rather than try to outdo in terms of realism, the Wii version goes for vibrant environments, and the graphics are slightly reminiscent of XII.
