A large Victorian giltwood overmantel mirror sold for £5,000 and an Adamstyle serving table made by James Hicks went under the hammer for £4,500 at Town & Country's house-contents auction in Killiney, Co Dublin, last Sunday. Other prices achieved included: £4,000 for a French empire display cabinet; £3,400 for a set of 12 George III mahogany chairs, circa 1810; and £2,600 for a George III mahogany bureau.
