What a year it's been for Andrew Hozier-Byrne.
He began 2014 as "that guy from Wicklow whose song went totally viral" (Take Me To Church, which also won Best Video at the Ticket Awards 2013, and now has more than 32 million YouTube hits).
Twelve months later, his self-titled debut album has been certified double platinum in Ireland (it went straight to number one in September and is still at number four).and debuted at number 2 in the US. He's also been nominated for an MTV EMA Award and has won the European Breaker Borders Award 2014. He's on the bill in Slane alongside Foo FIghters and Kaiser Chiefs, is performing at the Victoria's Secret fashion show next week as well as a string of dates around Ireland and the UK between now and Christmas and a sold-out US tour next year.
And to end the year, he's just released the soul-tinged Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene as his latest single. Here's Hozier's brilliant performance of the song from the iTunes Festival in September.
