A sale of silver and jewellery to be conducted by O'Reilly's in Dublin next Wednesday includes a number of items from the estate of the late Mrs Patricia Hanson. The contents of her home, Gerrardstown Stud in Co Meath, were dispersed at auction last year.

Some of the finer pieces include a threestone diamond ring of 2.75 carats, estimated to fetch £5,000-£6,000, and a solitaire diamond ring of 1.65 carats, expected to go for £4,000-£4,500. In addition, there is a 13-carat diamond bracelet (£3,500-£4,000), a diamond and emerald cluster ring (£2,000-£2,500), a fourrow cultured pearl necklace with diamond clasp and an 18-carat Omega diamond cluster ring with 48 stones (both £2,000-£3,000).

Other jewellery lots include: a Victorian diamond pendant and diamond drop (£5,000-£6,000), an aquamarine and diamond cocktail ring (£900-£1,200) and a brilliant and baguette cut-diamond bracelet (£1,200-£1,500). Among the silver lots is a cream jug from 1799 (£200-£300), a George II coffee pot (£800-£1,200), a four-piece tea and coffee service (£700-£1,200) and a George IV sugar bowl (£150-£300). The sale starts at 1 p.m.
