Robert Downey Jr recently embarked on a magical mystery press tour for this month’s release of The Judge, which has seen him aerially saunter from one secret location to the next with the wink-and-elbow language of the Famous Five.
He may yet arrive at a location near you (soon, and when you least expect it – in fact he’s behind you right now), since the press tour has threatened to visit a slew of “domestic/ international” venues.
The online trail on his Facebook page features RDJ wearing a series of questionable outfits, each more outlandish than the last, as he travels to interviews in unexpected locations, from a Chicago law school to an Ohio Air Force base.
He's also been backtracking on his comments about an Iron Man 4 (or has he?). After he casually professed his wishes to have Mel Gibson direct any future instalments, he's been hounded with will they/won't they questioning.
His spontaneous efforts are doing plenty to reinforce his happenin’ image, a pre-emptive strike on him ever being nicknamed Old Man Junior. It seems there’s almost nothing RDJ could do that wouldn’t please the masses. Until he ceases to exhibit the same heart-rending adorability as a litter of fuzzy baby animals, the world remains in love with his flaunting.
