The contents of a cottage with connections to Samuel Beckett will be sold today at 2 p.m. by Martin Bernon of Rameses, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

The house in Glenamuck Road, on the outskirts of Carrickmines, was home to the late Lily Cundell, who for many years was housekeeper to Beckett's family. Among the family items and memorabilia in this sale is an Irish arts and crafts kitchen dresser, together with such curiosities as Emergency ration books.
