Ireland’s cultural homes and institutions will be burning the midnight oil tomorrow for this year’s Culture Night.

Some 34 regions are taking part, with free events from live music, dance, theatre, spoken word and visual art to interactive tours, workshops and exhibitions. The audience will run into hundreds of thousands.

In Dublin, there will be live music and flamenco on the city's buses and trams, and a family culture trail. In Meeting House Square, Temple Bar, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will perform with Julie Feeney, Lúnasa and The Walls. There will be a premiere of Malone Lives, by Stephen Gardner, commissioned for the occasion.

Countrywide, events include a collaborative art exhibition featuring work from Maser at Kilkenny’s Butler Gallery, a Cavan initiative celebrating 100 Books with a Difference and an interactive event with instruments made from food with Belfast’s Fruit & Veg Orchestra. For more, see culturenight.ie.
