Town & Country's sale on the premises of a house in Monkstown last month saw a George IV mahogany longcase clock with a broken swan-neck pediment make £1,800. A 19thcentury marquetry mahogany fold-over card table fetched £1,350 and a small 19th-century mahogany bookcase sold for £1,200. Last Sunday, on the company's own premises, an Irish Victorian overmantel mirror fetched £2,250, a set of eight Victorian mahogany dining chairs went under the hammer for £1,750 and both an inlaid display cabinet and a Victorian mahogany dining table sold for £1,450.
