At the most recent auction held by John A Ross & Co of Belfast, a set of 12 Victorian mahogany spoonback dining chairs sold for £8,000. Both an Edwardian inlaid mahogany tambour-front, two-door bookcase and a Victorian mahogany D-end dining table with two leaves fetched £4,200.
A William IV carved mahogany serving table with rope edge went for £3,000, a walnut-cased baby grand piano by Challen made £2,900, a pair of Empire bronze and ormolu candlesticks sold for £2,800, a 19th century mahogany two-door sideboard fetched £2,600 and a pair of ornate Victorian bronze fire dogs realised £2,400.
