93 Million Miles Warp* * *

Mark Pritchard and Steve Spacek are no strangers to collaborations and alter-egos, so bonding over the ebbs and flows of Africa Hitech's sonic adventures was never going to be a chore for the pair. What's apparent from 93 Million Miles(the distance from the earth to the sun, in case you were wondering) is that Pritchard and Spacek have quickly found common ground between their respective worlds. Africa Hitech may have its roots in progressive underground beeps and pulses, but the pair know such a foundation doesn't have to be an one-way stream. Just as a track such as the skanking Out in the Streetscomes thumping and pumping roughly from the bassbins with a rudeboy rush (and an Ini Kamoze sample), deep, atmospheric, soulful sweeps ( Light the Way) beat an entirely different drum.
