Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson's have enjoyed a lengthy tenure as Ireland's deep house dons, from their fabled Sweat night at Cork's Sir Henry's back in the day to a blossoming international rep for the productions coming out of their studio. It's eight years since their debut album (Lil Hand) and, given the slew of releases since, it's no surprise that Draw the Line is an infinitely more rounded and accomplished affair. With regular collaborators Tracey Kelliher, Mary Cigarettes and Tadhg Hickey providing helping hands and voices, Dowling and Johnson can focus on drawing deep, sumptuous, classy grooves that pulsate with jazzy and soulful influences. The dancefloor tug exerted by tracks such as Being Supreme will be familiar to longtime Fish Go Deep watchers, though it's telling that there the likes of All Change flex a much different set of musical muscles. fishgodeep.com
