Those flocking to Funeral Party on the back of the jagged, fuzzy, jerky, punk-funk anthem New York City Moves to the Sound of Los Angelesmay want to put a halt to their gallop until they clock the LA band's debut. Instead of allowing that banger to light the way, Funeral Party follow a much different routing. Golden Age of Knowherecomes across as the work of a band who are more sons-of-The-Killers than the sons of someone much more interesting. While the intense, energetic wallop of Car Warsalso leads to the dancefloor, the rest of the material is a little less exciting, with the band favouring epic rock posturing when they run out of steam.
