Andrew Butler swung into action in 2008 with an album of sublime, incandescent tunes in which disco, house and electropop all had a spot on the dancefloor. It's more of the same for album No 2 , with Butler still a firm adherent to the joys of collaboration. Listen to Step Up, for instance, which sticks Bloc Party's Kele Okereke on a podium and turns him into an even bigger drama queen. Okereke is just one of many contributing a shine and sheen to an album happy to have a foot in both the old-school house camp and the new-school disco groove. Aside from the contributions of Patrick Pulsinger, Shaun Wright, Aerea Negrot and HLA regular Kim Ann Foxman, Butler's own well-honed chops as a producer imbue tracks such as Boy Blue, Fallingand a lovely, spaced-out, slo-mo take on Sterling Void's It's Alright.
