A new festival will take place in Bray from June 8th – 17th. Arcadia, presented by the Mermaid Arts Centre, will see a number of musical performances take place in various venues across 10 days. Cathy Davey will reprise her themed Musical Heroes gig on June 15th. Cabaret singer Rose Lawless will play at Oli’s Coffeehouse, and Bagatelle will headline a Garden Party at Festina Lente on the same day. There are also a number of quirkier musical treats, including Bandstand Ballroom Dancing and a beginner’s workshop in East Coast Swing dancing on June 3rd, while vocal group The Bugle Babes will head-up an evening of more cabaret and a DJ playing 1940s hits at the Arcadia Cabaret Club on June 8th.

Finally, a theatrical tribute to Count John McCormack – dubbed 'I Hear You Calling Me' – will wind down the festival on June 17th. arcadiafestival.com
