Ash and The Strypes will support Foo Fighters at Slane Castle in May, with Kaiser Chiefs and Hozier the other acts on the bill.
Foo Fighters, founded in Seattle in 1994 by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, released their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, to critical acclaim last November.
Cavan band The Strypes, whose debut album Snapshot was released in 2013, have headlined Irish, European and US tours.
Downpatrick band Ash are set to release their seventh studio album Kablammo! later this year.
Kaiser Chiefs, best-known for their hit I Predict A Riot, have sold more than three million albums in the UK.
Newcomer Hozier played a sold-out Irish tour in December and was nominated for a Grammy Award for his worldwide smash Take Me To Church.
A concert has been held in the grounds of Slane Castle in most summers since 1981. No concert was held there last year.
Tickets for the Slane concert, priced at €79.50, are on sale now
