The story of these veteran musicians, coaxed out of retirement to make the best-selling world music album of all time is a heart-warmer in itself, and now we can relive it all over again courtesy of the World Circuit archives.
Lost and Found, released as the surviving members embark on their "Adios" tour, covers the whole range of the group's repertoire from bolero and strutting salsa to improvisatory descargas and poignant after-hours gems.
Some tracks are out-takes from the original sessions and associated projects, some are live recordings – notably of Ibrahim Ferrer and his banda gigante – but all are infused with the Buena Vista magic.
