The Camden Crawl will be coming to Dublin on May 11 and 12. It will be the first time the renowned gig binge, established in 1995, has moved beyond its North London home. Acts already confirmed for the Meteor-sponsored Irish leg include Clock Opera, Dutch Uncles and D/R/U/G/S, as well as up-and-coming Irish bands such as Tieranniesaur, Little Xs for Eyes, LaFaro, We Are Losers, and more.
Amongst the 15 participating venues are Whelan’s, The Workman’s Club, The Button Factory, The Bernard Shaw, The Mercantile, The Grand Social and Twisted Pepper. The acts have been selected by a panel of Irish promoters and media professionals. Both one-day (€25 plus booking fee) and two-day (€40 plus booking fee) passes are available.
Camden Crawl founder Lisa Paulon told The Ticket that expanding the showcase outside London had been on the cards for a while, but it wasn’t until she took a trip to Dublin last summer that she realised the perfect location was “right next door all along”. More acts will be added in the coming weeks .
