MUSIC NEWS:It's not too often you hear of a charity making donations to their supporters, but that's exactly what Trócaire have planned for later this month.

They're staging a gig dubbed Thanks, from Trócaire at Dublin's Grand Social on June 23rd, which will feature Irish acts CODES, The Hot Sprockets, Storyfold, Afro-Irish collective Tig Linn and DJ iZem.

Entry to the gig is free to those who were involved in this year's Honduras-focused Lenten campaign, while tickets will be available at €5 to other members of the public.

In keeping with the spirit of the campaign, the night will be Central American- themed. Latino guitarists and dancers, film footage, games and crafts from the region, and hot Honduran- inspired snacks and cocktails will be available on the night.
"This definitely won't be just your run-of-the-mill gig," said 2FM DJ Ruth Scott, who will MC on the night. "We're hoping there will be a laid-back, Latino carnival vibe to the event, and it looks like it's going to be a great night."
