Bob Dylan has been honoured this week by US president Barack Obama with the awarding of the Presidential Medal of Freedom – America’s highest civilian honour awarded to those who have made major contributions to their country.

According to the LA Times, Dylan stood in the White House looking “inscrutable in black sunglasses”. Now there’s a surprise.
