The KBC Music in Great Irish Houses festival gets underway at Imma on Sunday afternoon, with a programme celebrating the work of composers incarcerated in the Terezin concentration camp during the second World War.

After that, the festival line-up is dominated by string quartets. The Pavel Haas Quartet (pictured) are at Killruddery House on Wednesday and the Freemasons’ Hall in Molesworth Street on Thursday, and Quatuor Ebène are at Castletown House on Saturday 18th, and, in their alternative version, L’Autre Ebène, at the Sugar Club on Sunday 19th.

Killruddery House hosts a piano trio of Michael d’Arcy, Hannah Roberts and Lance Coburn on Monday, and cellist Guy Johnston is partnered by pianist Kathryn Stott at Hillsborough Castle on Tuesday. The festival also hosts the period-instruments ensemble La Serenissima (at Christ Church Cathedral on Friday 17th and TCD Chapel on the morning of Saturday 18th).
