Picked up by Irish label Paper Trail Records as its first release, Cloud’s sophomore album lives us to its title.

Warm, hazy, leisurely and wholly immersive, Tyler Taormina’s lush, psychedelic pop owes much to fellow sonic-trippers Panda Bear, Atlas Sound, Lotus Plaza, Toro Y Moi.

The New York native’s lyrics reveal the uncertainty of a young man transitioning from youth to adulthood, but his production nous is accomplished and mature.

Trading on manipulated sounds and reverb-drenched vocals, the droning organs and ebullient multitrack singing on Sunshine Psych display a youthful abandon that is instantly appealing.
