Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh takes temporary leave of her regular compadres in Danú to air her gorgeously earthy voice (and doubtless play a few flute tunes too) for Music Network’s January tour, in the company of Roscommon flute player John Wynne and fiddle player John McEvoy, who have long championed the north Connaught style, and guitarist, keyboards and flute player John Blake. The four musicians will cast a welcoming gabháil around tunes and songs drawn from the length and breadth of the country.
