Castlepalooza is celebrating its sixth successful year by extending the music and arts festival to three days and corralling more than 50 Irish and international acts to play this August bank holiday weekend.

Headlining this year's festival in Tullamore, Co Offaly, are hip-hop stalwarts Naughty by Nature. They will be joined by Hudson Mohawke, Django Django, Clock Opera, Onra, Jape, The Jimmy Cake, Adebisi Shank, Squarehead, Enemies, We Are Losers and These Charming Men. There will be late DJs each night too. Late-night shows will be held in a new area called the Courtyard. Workshops, a day spa and exhibitions will be held in Charleville Castle all weekend. The organisers have made a three-day ticket with camping available for €59 until 8pm tonight, after which the cost will increase to €89. "It's probably the most reasonably priced three-day ticket compared to any other festival," said founder Cillian Stewart.

"Everyone has taken a hit this year, so it's only right we take one for the team, too. The bigger festivals should have done this for people, but they haven't – so we're leading by example." castlepalooza.ie
