Dancefloor and clubland veterans Conrad McDonnell and Dan Tyler were spinning and producing blissed-out, shimmering Balearic grooves long before anyone came along and tagged the sound cosmic disco.

The pair's 20-year run has produced many releases, labels, a 2012 album Cellar Door and this new collection of revised versions of old tracks. Remixing your own material may well be considered the last refuge of the creatively bankrupt scoundrel in some quarters, but McDonnell and Tyler display moxie and muscle with their repointings.

The supple, evocative, hugely effective space-funk coating on Love Hunter Dub is delightful, while the beautifully hypnotic Kenny Dub Headband is a reworking of One for Kenny named for their friend and London club promoter, the late Kenny Hawkes.

Throughout, Versions zings with all the musical touchstones which have made Idjut Boys such a vital force down through the years.
