Two unsigned Irish acts have won competitions to play at international summer festivals. Shouting at Planes, an indie five-piece from Cavan, beat 100 other bands to win a slot at Glastonbury, while Monaghan's Ryan Dempsey won a competition for Spain's Benicàssim festival in July. Meanwhile, Fight Like Apes have been announced for the Reading and Leeds festivals for the third year running.
