Twisted Pepper, Dublin Tomorrow 9pm €10/€8 01-8734800
The Bodytonic crew’s flagship club night turns five this weekend, which is something of a landmark event. The Bodytonic enterprise has grown over the past few years; they now run two significant pieces of entertainment real estate in the capital (the Bernard Shaw pub and Twisted Pepper venue) and have their fingers in a myriad of pies from labels to coffee bars.
Still, Pogo remains their biggest night out. Every week they do their best to create a festival in a club, and this one promises to be a monster with a live set from Shed in the basement (plus Pogo residents Barry Redsetta, Eoin Cregan and Tayor); Optimo Espacio, Not Squares and The Cast of Cheers rocking The Stage; Come As Soon As You Hear in the Mezz; and a Pogo Pub revival with Nic James, Shortie, Genie and JB the DeeJay in the Box.
