After two eventful years in the venue business, the Twisted Pepper continues to pull the crowds and somehow find new spaces within the building in which to stick DJs. The big cheese on the poster for the second of the Bodytonic crew’s birthday bashes this weekend is François Kevorkian (below), who plays The Stage.
Kevorkian is the New York don when it comes to deep, dubby disco grooves and the man who joins the dots between pioneers (Walter Gibbons), seminal clubs (Loft, Paradise Garage, Body Soul), the Wave label and reams of classic e-mixes and productions.
In the basement, DMX Krew, aka Ed Upton, will rock out with wham-bang electro from drum’n’bass to straight- up techno. Elsewhere, Ana- Tomy rock the Mezz and there’s support all round from John Mahon, Louis Scully and Chris O’Donoghue.
