AILBHE MALONEjust can't wait for Saturdays to come

TRACK OF THE WEEK:

Start A Riot by Jetta

Liverpudlian singer Jetta cut her teeth singing back-up for Paloma Faith and Cee-Lo Green (not at the same time), so it’s fair to say that shes got a set of lungs on her. Her sound is more Florence than french horns though – especially in debut single Start A Riot. Imagine the sparkiness of Pink, mixed with the rabble-rousing vocals of Emeli Sandé. The Saturdays aren’t doing the best job of selling their reality show Chasing the Saturdays. Speaking to the Sun, Una Saturdays explained: “I cant understand how anyone will find us interesting - its just us.” She gave it a bit more welly then, going on to say “but lots of people want to be pop stars, so it will show what life is like in a pop group, how we have bad days and get upset. Yet I think our friendship shines through.” Mollie Saturdays was more on message, pushing the closeness of the group. “When we sat in the first meeting with E! pitching the idea of the show, we told them we were like a family and really got on. I think that’s what people want to see – not five girls bitching. They followed us for three months and were surprised how close we were. It’s us against the world, not against each other.” Viewing party round ours?

Our number-one favourite celebrity baby has started to talk! Yes, that’s right - Blue Ivy speaks! Beyoncé told the NFL Superbowl Live program that “my husband (she means Jay-Z) is incredible, he’s so supportive. And my daughter is . . . I mean, when I wake up in the morning, the best thing in the world is seeing her face.” Beyoncé went on: “She’s starting to talk. It’s just such a beautiful time in my life to have a child and every day see something new and see her learn something new.” Is it too soon to start planning a super-group?
