Ailbhe Malonewants you all to stop being fake Ailbhes on Facebook. You big freaks
TRACK OF THE WEEK
On My Ownby Yasmin. The newest soulful dubsteppy young lady on the block, Yasmin is like Katy B's more blissed-out sister. With a marvellous taste in hats (check out the video), On My Ownchronicles Yaz's worries about her chosen path – including a Tinie Tempah-indebted drum and bass breakdown at the end. She needn't worry about her career prospects though: she'll do just fine.
* Although The X Factoris over for another year (and we won't mention what we thought of winner Matt Cardle), it's good to know that all is not lost for young Cher "Eyebrows" Lloyd (below). Collaborator Will.I.Am recently tweeted a message to her saying "Hey Cher, when should we release the song we recorded in London???...(It's a smasher.)" While we're unsure what the song involves (and whether she'll be changing her name to C.He.Rly.Old), we're already a young puppy level of excited.
N-DUBZ WATCH
New year, same N-Dubz – Dappy’s unsettled by the amount of fake Facebook profiles pretending to be him. “When you type our names in Facebook, 10 fake profiles come up, and these people, who are pretending to be us, seem to know more about our lives than we do,” he complains. “There’ll be a ‘Dappy’ status update saying: ‘I’m going to my mum’s’, when I am really going to see her. I read one that said ‘I’m a bit pissed off ’cos my baby Gino just vomited on me’. It’s weird. Certain people are more than fans – they’re obsessed.”
* The inevitable has happened. Vanity Fairhas put Justin Bieber on the front cover. While it's not quite the end of days (don't shut the door to your nuclear bunker just yet), the Bieb does make some startling declarations, such as how he wants to be the next Michael Jackson. "Michael was able to reach audiences from young to old. He never limited himself. He was so broad, everybody loved him, and that's what my goal is – to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me." We don't even know where to start.
