Track of the week: Here by Alessia Cara
Not unlike the slow change of autumn leaves, some songs just creep up on you. So it goes with this introvert's anthem by Alessia Cara. Using a Portishead sample, Alessia's silky vocals invite you to step back from the party, and simply observe.
Hero of the week is Adele. She dropped new single Hello last week , and tweeted about what was coming next: "If I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven't got time to hold onto the crumbs of my past like I used to. What's done is done. 25 is about getting to know who I've become without realising. And I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened."
Poor Sam Smith has been fighting negative body image issues, he's told NME. "I still feel pressured to look a certain way. For women, the pressure in this industry is horrendous and it's got to stop. But it's the same for guys, even though they won't speak about it.
Because of the media, and because of what I feel I should look like, it’s always going to be a battle in my head.”
Zero of the week is gossip about Niall Horan's love life. Niall told Lorraine: "If you keep reading all those stories it's just going to wreck your head but like you know whatever, you can have friends, we're all allowed to have friends."
