Heartfelt falling-in-love: Betty Who

TRACK OF THE WEEK Betty Who - I Love You Always Forever
Pop Corner fave Betty Who has updated this 1990s classic, stripping back the slightly sickly delivery of the original for a heartfelt falling-in-love anthem. Her articulation is sweet as a peach, and when she sings "you've got the most unbelievable blue eyes I've ever seen", you can almost see them too.

Hero of the week is Alicia Keys. She wrote an essay for Lenny about becoming confident in her skin. "Before I started my new album, I wrote a list of all the things that I was sick of. And one was how much women are brainwashed into feeling like we have to be skinny, or sexy, or desirable, or perfect. One of the many things I was tired of was the constant judgment of women. The constant stereotyping through every medium that makes us feel like being a normal size is not normal, and heaven forbid if you're plus-size…." She continued, explaining her decision to release a make-up free photo as the single art for In Common. "'Cause I don't want to cover up anymore. Not my face, not my mind, not my soul, not my thoughts, not my dreams, not my struggles, not my emotional growth. Nothing."

Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor has refused media training, she told the Evening Standard. "They put new artists in these classes and apparently, everything about me was wrong. The woman was like: 'Don't do that!', 'Don't say that!' and just 'No!' I was like: 'I got this'. So I never went back. I say stupid s**t all the time."

Zero of the week is Justin Bieber's hairdresser. He's thinking of selling on Justin's dreadlocks according to Cosmopolitan. Florido (the hairdresser, keep up) explained: "We still have the dreads though, now we might try to slang them for a charity." Florido reflected on the dreads, explaining: "He wore them for maybe a month and then wanted to change up his look. Not to mention his hair was bleached and was already fragile, plus it was knotted and teased from the dreads. We decided to just start fresh and shave it all off."
