Track of the week: Florence and the Machine Ship to Wreck Florence has gone alt.pop again, and we like it. The track channels Stevie Nicks, with a nod to late-90s indie popsters Semisonic. It's no coincidence – the lead singer of Semisonic went on to write Someone Like You with Adele, and has also been writing with Florence. Ship to Wreck is a fever dream of a love song, as Florence howls, "Did I drink too much, am I losing touch? Did I build this ship to wreck?" while the driving guitar part takes us all home.
Hero of the week is our beloved Niall Horan, who realised a dream by caddying for Rory McIlroy. Nialler tweeted: "Well that was an incredible experience, thanks @McIlroyRory for letting me do that, shame I pulled my shot into the water!!! I've been lucky enough to do some pretty amazing things, but that's gotta be up there huh? Loved it." He went on: "If you're walking around Augusta, don't step on the pine leaves, slippy as hell Hahahaha! #redfaced!"
We'll bypass Zero of the Week, and instead let Taylor Swift know our thoughts are with her. Taylor shared the sad news that her mum is very unwell. Taylor posted on her Tumblr page: "I'm saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer." She continued: "Thank you for caring about my family so much that she would want me to share this information with you. I hope and pray that you never get news like this."
In happier news, congrats to Justin Timberlake. He's just had his first child, a boy named Silas Randall Timberlake. Silas was JT's grandfather's middle name, and Randall is JT's own middle name, fact fans.
