There are acts who fall between the cracks despite a decent series of releases and sadly, that appears to be the lot of Tobin Prinz and Suzi Horn to date.
Despite two fine albums of angular anti-pop, the Brighton-based duo remain largely unheralded.
For those already on their side, Home Economics is a reminder of their prowess at delivering strong, minimal clatters of bass, drums, guitar and yelps.
What’s interesting throughout is the duo’s approach to the space between the stripped-back template, with a calm sense of intimacy colouring and shaping the sound.
Reign is a steady, bittersweet lament, while Battlefield and Let Me Go are examples of how Prinz and Horn add subtle, warm tones and texture to contrast with the sparse, often austere lean of the tracks' general demeanour.
