Pavilion, Cork Tonight 10pm €10 before midnight/€12 021-4276230
Five years on the go in clubland merits a big blowout, and Cork’s Electric Underground aren’t holding back with tonight’s bash, which is part of the venue’s Dirty Weekender.
Jamie "Blawan" Roberts (pictured) tops the bill, the producer who cut his teeth on the bass scene before going on to tear down the house with classy, sweet cuts such as Getting Me Downand What You Do With What You Havefor labels RS, Clone and Hessle.
Like Blawan, Matt Cutler aka Lone has also been called on to do some Radiohead remixes. Cutler is the producer behind fantastic ravey wigouts All Those Weird Things and a brilliant reworking of Friendly Fires' Live Those Days Tonight.
There’s also room on the bill for Warren Knowles and Kevin Blake, reminding us of Electric Underground’s penchant for giving homegrown DJs and producers their due.
