It’s Skream time again. Ollie Jones (below) has brought his dubstep manifesto to Dublin many times before, so there’s a fervent fanbase already in place for the Croydon DJ and producer behind several top- ranking albums and one of the main movers in the Magnetic Man bass supergroup.
For this visit, Jones is plugging Skreamizm, a new series of nights aiming to highlight the music and club nights that inspired him. Jones talks about “a back-to-basics approach” with “a dark room, a massive soundsystem, an extended set, and a focus firmly on the music.”
Sgt Pokes from Digital Mystikz will be on the microphone. There’s also support from Redinho (the Numbers star who made the Body Soul festival go boom with his live electronic funk earlier in the year), the Subrewind crew and Junior Spesh DJs. JIM CARROLL
