TRACK OF THE WEEK: Bad Date
Oh My! Oh My! are back with a new track, and on it, mentor Example's sound is more clear than ever. It's got a ravey synth hook, over which Alex and Jade rap about the worst dates they've ever had: "he picked me up in his grandmother's car/ he left a tab with my name at the bar". It's a lot of fun, but leaves us remembering the Dolly Rockers (YouTube Gold Digger) at their peak.
- The big news this week, is of course, the birth of Blue Ivy Carter – aka Destiny's Child, aka Beyoncé's Beybey, etc, etc. Clocking in at seven pounds, Blue Ivy was delivered naturally, and both mother and baby are in fine form. As regards the naming of the kid, the current theory is that the "Blue" bit comes from Jay-Z's Blueprint album series, and Ivy is the Roman numeral for four, the date of both Beyoncé and Jay-Z's birthdays, and also the date they got married. If you ask us, it sounds like a Dulux shade. If that's not enough Jay-oncé for you, then head to Jay's official website, where you can listen to the track Glorywhich is about young Blue, and even samples the little baby's noises.
- Rihanna's finally revealed her inspiration for her role in Battleship– a fitness trainer called Jacqueline Carrizosa, apparently. Says Riri: "I watched her and I really just lived and breathed in her mindset and tried to really get in her character.
“She’s fearless and she’s one of the boys. It was really fun to just explore that. My character’s called Raikes and she’s a weapons officer, so she loves weapons, she knows them. And not only her weapons, but every other weapon on the ship.” Is this a warning to any would-be reviewers?

Katy Perry’s spoken for the first time since her split with Russell Brand. She tweeted “I am so grateful for all the love and support I’ve had from people around the world. You guys have made my heart happy again.” Oh Katy, anything for you.
