Ailbhe Malone may follow Pink’s lead and name her child Bacardi Breezer
* TRACK OF THE WEEK:
Teenagersby Japayork. While we're not sure how to pronounce this artist's name (does it rhyme with "dapafork"?) and while the video for this track is a little perplexing (there is a lady with a bicycle on her head. Why?), this is a 100 per cent solid pop tune, by way of Frankmuzik at the Eurovision.
* N-DUBZ WATCH
Be still our hearts! Tulisa is now friends with our fave X Factor contestant (OK, second fave: we love you Mary Byrne) Cher Lloyd. The two bumped into each other at an event recently, and hit it off. Says Tuls: “I had a good chat with Cher and gave her some advice. I told her to keep doing what she’s doing and be individual, but at the same time stay appealing.” All we have to do now is wangle an introduction for ourselves.
* (So seldomly does Pop Corner indulge in actual real-world news that we feel like a child at a dinner party covering something IMPORTANT AND TOPICAL. Nevertheless, it has emerged that during this Wikileaks leak (see! we read the papers!) most of the data was stored on Lady Gaga-labelled CDs. Sounds like the perpetrator will have to keep a poker face . . .
* In more important news, Justin Bieber's voice has begun to break. Naturally, Fringey is terrified, and has enlisted specialist help – in the form of mentor Usher's old singing coach. Ush went from child star to smooth mover seamlessly, and Bieber hopes to achieve the same. Says a source: "They're making sure he gets as much vocal rest as humanly possible for a working popstar." That must explain the miming on last week's X Factor.
* We are happy to announce that the wonderful Pink is expecting her first child with husband Carey Hart. We are less happy to announce that she’s thinking of naming it Jameson. Yeah, like the whiskey. Says she: “My dad’s name is James, and my brother’s name is Jason. (Carey and I) are both Irish, Carey’s middle name is Jason, and Jameson – we like whiskey. That’s a no-brainer.”
