It's a long way from Shelley's in Stoke. Other DJs come and go, but Alexander Coe really seems capable of going on forever. After years of tweaking sound systems in big rooms, Sasha's crowd-pulling appeal has never lessened. True, his artist career hasn't exactly been writ large (Read Dom Philips's Superstar DJs Here We Gofor the lowdown on the problems that surrounded 2002's Airdrawndaggeralbum), but he continues to be a big draw on the club circuit worldwide.

Those seeking a souvenir of a night out with Sasha's prog-trance and flashy breakdowns could always turn to mix albums Fundacion NYCand Avalon Los Angeles,bespoke remixes for everyone from Kasabian and Madonna to Doves and Felix Da Housecat, or that suave Essential Mix for the Beeb in 2010.
