What's on your rider

What's on your rider? The usual: coffee, wine, cheese, chocolate, beer, soft drinks, fruit and sandwiches. That sounds like quite a lot, actually.

What's your pre-gig ritual/ routine?Putting on make-up is a good ritual. It's like putting on war paint before the big battle. And I tend to watch funny YouTube clips to get in the mood. There is a Swedish comedian, Peter Apelgren, whom I never get tired of. He's hilarious.

What's the best gig you've been to?I've been to many wonderful gigs. One I keep thinking about is when Joe Zawinul played in Malmö, just one year before he left this world. It was absolutely amazing. The musicians were so good and it was impossible to stand still. Another one was Paul Simon this summer in Oslo; it was marvellous. I cried during the whole concert – quietly during the songs and very very loud while clapping in between. I grew up with Simon's music. I think his songs are perfect.

Who is the most famous person to have shown up at one of your gigs?I think that would be John Cusack! It wasn't really MY gig, per se, but I was in the band. That must count.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment?I flashed my boob once, for a very short glimpse of time but still it made me a bit uncomfortable. But what can you do? Things happen.

What's your crowd-pleasing number?I think Dinosaur is the one where most people start tapping their feet and nodding their heads.

Groupies. Would you?I would not. Yes, not.

Have you a special stage wardrobe?I have grown fond of jumpsuits and overalls. Usually I wear black, but lately I've sported one that is in a kind of golden amber colour. I find it nice to wear one whole piece.

Any useful stage tips?Try and have as much fun as possible. And try to be as present as you possibly can. Try and play your best – every single note.

What's the worst thing ever thrown at you?Thing: a beer bottle. But it was all right. Words said (or shouted): "GO HOME". That actually hurt.
