Now in its fourth year, the Certain Three Tour remains a sound idea: take three quite different Irish acts, bung them together on a tour bus, and shunt them this way and that across the length and breadth of the country.
This year the acts are Nanu Nanu, a duo that fuse styles of the electro-pop/ beats variety; Si Schroeder, a one-man ambient/electronica platoon who blends vocals and layered music; and Trumpets of Jericho, an outfit that mixes post-punk with hints of oddly-shaped folk. Expect largely new material, especially from Schroeder and Nanu Nanu (both have new albums out soon).
The tour continues from next Friday, stopping off at venues in Cork, Louth, Sligo, Dublin, Offaly, Galway, Westmeath, Kilkenny and Belfast. See future issues of The Ticket for more details.
