Dubstep is a genre which is not largely given to shows of bravado and boasting, yet Ollie Jones could be excused for bigging himself up, such has been the quality and quantity of his work to date. A relative whipper-snapper at 24, Jones has already produced two magnificent albums under the Skream moniker and opened a dubstep window into the pop mainstream with thrilling remixes for La Roux and Klaxons. Most recently, Jones put dubstep’s first supergroup (Magnetic Man) in motion with fellow producers Benga and Artless.

The Croydon native first caught the bass bug from listening to his older brother’s jungle mix-tapes (the bro is Hijak who was part of Grooverider’s Internatty crew) before figuring out that he could make his own tunes and better ones at that. Check out the Skream! and Outside the Box albums for a taste of his state-of-the-art sound.
